I do love going to market. It is such a wonderful time to talk with customers and show the new things we’ve been working on for months. I always leave refreshed and exhausted at the same time! The setting up, tearing down and constant standing wears me out but the excitement and encouraging stories from our customers make me want to come straight home and get busy on new stuff!!
However, this first morning home, I am taking a few minutes with Madison and my coffee to get a few puzzles done. First things first, right?
H – Hello!
O – One happy to be home
M – Momma is
E – exhausted!
By the time you read this, I will be eating a pecan log at a Stuckey’s somewhere in north Georgia headed to Atlanta and AmericasMart. So in honor of the upcoming market, here is Wordnesday for Atlanta.
A – Adios Nashville!
T – Taking
L – leave for
A – Atlanta with
N – new Show Offs Art
T – things for

Come see us in building 3, 4th floor, booth 602 – hope to see you there!
I have spent the better part of the last two weeks at the markets in Atlanta and Dallas. It was great to be there and tell the Show Offs Art story, but it was even better to get home.
Here are the Ten Great Things About Being Home:
- Jet’s Pizza with my sweet family.
- Watching football on the couch with my sweet husband.
- Reading books at bedtime with Madison.
- Helping McKenzie and Madison get their PJ’s picked out for “PJ Day” at school.
- Not having to wear “show clothes” and spending the day in sweats
- Eating day-old birthday cake with Macie.
- Drinking my coffee from my favorite Psych mug.
- Hearing McKenzie sing.
- Tornado sirens at 1:00 am.
- Knowing that lots of stores will be unpacking boxes of new ShowOffs Art product this week and (hopefully) their customers will be excited and encouraged by it.
I love what we get to do with SOA, but it really is nice to be home too.
Wow, what a week. We’re in Dallas now for the Total Home and Gift Show at Dallas Market Center. Looking forward to lots of fun connecting with some old friends and telling the ShowOffs Art story.
This show is a lot different than the Atlanta Market because we are in a showroom instead of having our own booth.
If you’re coming to Dallas, come and see us at the Keith Smith Showroom.
In honor of our trip this week, Wordnesday will be devoted to Market!
M – Millions (not really) of buyers see our new
A – art for the first time
R – realizing that, if they order it for the store, they will
K – keep it for their home so they better order
E – extra so there is plenty
T – to go around!
For those of you coming to Market, come see me!!!
Atlanta – Building 3, Floor 4, Booth 602 (new place!!)
Dallas – Keith Smith Showrooom
Lots of fun new stuff – see it all on the website at http://www.showoffsart.com!
Things are just really cute when they are mini….
Fun size candy bars
So we are pulling up a chair at the “fun size” table!
This week at the Market in Atlanta, Show Offs Art will introduce Fun Size Art – all the art but MINI! Lots of our best selling designs will be available in “fun size” for a price of just $19.99 retail!
So come see us or check them out online at http://www.showoffsart.com! (You may even score some fun size candy at the booth!)
This time next week we will be in Atlanta for the first Gift Market of 2012.
Excuse me while gag a little…
Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE (most parts) of going to the market. I love meeting our customers and hearing from them about conversations they have with their customers about our art. And I love meeting people from new stores and telling them our story and seeing them get excited about having our products in our stores. And I love hanging out with people from the Show Offs Art team and going to dinner every night and falling in the bed so tired but so excited.
The part that makes me nervous is the new product introductions. Since we are a little company, the development of new art and products is pretty much my responsibility. And I work hard to talk with our stores and what they need. And I talk to my friends and ask “What would be encouraging to you and your family?” And I study Scripture to see what encourages and challenges me.
And then we throw all of that research in a bucket with a bunch of color and swirl it around and “Bazinga” out comes new products.
This year we are launching three new exciting things:
- A new line of art for baby rooms (Boys and Girls)
- New “fun-size” canvases
- The first ever Show Offs Art frames
I can’t wait to show them to the world, and so for the ten’s and ten’s of you who read this blog, I am glad to give you a sneak peak.
If you have a store, please make sure you come see us in Atlanta or Dallas. We will have them all up on the website soon.
Meanwhile, all this talk about the new product and Market makes me so nervous, I’ve got to go make a list or pack something….
