This time next week we will be in Atlanta for the first Gift Market of 2012.
Excuse me while gag a little…
Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE (most parts) of going to the market. I love meeting our customers and hearing from them about conversations they have with their customers about our art. And I love meeting people from new stores and telling them our story and seeing them get excited about having our products in our stores. And I love hanging out with people from the Show Offs Art team and going to dinner every night and falling in the bed so tired but so excited.
The part that makes me nervous is the new product introductions. Since we are a little company, the development of new art and products is pretty much my responsibility. And I work hard to talk with our stores and what they need. And I talk to my friends and ask “What would be encouraging to you and your family?” And I study Scripture to see what encourages and challenges me.
And then we throw all of that research in a bucket with a bunch of color and swirl it around and “Bazinga” out comes new products.
This year we are launching three new exciting things:
- A new line of art for baby rooms (Boys and Girls)
- New “fun-size” canvases
- The first ever Show Offs Art frames
I can’t wait to show them to the world, and so for the ten’s and ten’s of you who read this blog, I am glad to give you a sneak peak.

Meanwhile, all this talk about the new product and Market makes me so nervous, I’ve got to go make a list or pack something….
